Job Summary

The Vice President of Operations – ENT is a senior leader responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of all service lines within the organization. This role partners closely with the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and other executive leaders to drive operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver high-quality patient care across all sites. The VP of Operations translates organizational strategy into actionable plans, leads cross-functional teams, and fosters a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the COO and executive team to establish and execute the vision, strategy, and growth objectives for the ENT division.
• Translate strategic priorities into business plans, policies, and procedures that drive performance, scalability, and sustainable growth within ENT operations.
• Provide direct oversight of daily operations for all ENT clinics and service lines, focusing on operational excellence, patient experience, and financial performance.
• Lead, coach, and develop ENT leaders and managers by setting clear expectations, holding teams accountable, and providing ongoing feedback and direction.
• Foster a strong performance management culture, ensuring leaders address performance issues promptly and build high-performing, engaged teams.
• Partner with Human Resources to recruit, develop, and retain top talent, with an emphasis on leadership development and succession planning within the ENT division.
• Champion organizational culture, values, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
• Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance care delivery, efficiency, and the development of new ENT service lines or revenue streams.
• Lead due diligence, integration, and optimization efforts for new partnerships, acquisitions, or growth initiatives specific to ENT.
• Drive continuous improvement by implementing best-in-class operational processes, controls, and performance metrics.
• Oversee the implementation and optimization of technology solutions relevant to ENT, including EHR systems, telehealth, and analytics tools.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and specialty-specific requirements.
• Analyze operational data and provide regular insights and recommendations to the COO.
• Manage operating expenses and capital investments to achieve growth and profitability targets for the ENT division.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders in the ENT field.
• Provide regular updates to the COO regarding operational performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Demonstrated success in senior operational leadership roles within healthcare, preferably in ENT or specialty care.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and sound judgment.
• Experience leading multi-site, for-profit healthcare services organizations.
• Proven ability to scale operations and drive efficiency, optimization, and EBITDA growth.
• Strong data-driven leadership skills, including the use of performance metrics and dashboards.
• Expertise in strategic planning, operational execution, and business development.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
• Experience managing board-level relationships and working with private equity sponsors is a plus.
• Cultural awareness and adaptability, with the ability to lead diverse teams.
• Working knowledge of IT and business infrastructure, including enterprise systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local healthcare laws and compliance requirements.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience, including at least three (3) years in executive-level roles within healthcare operations.
• Experience in ENT or specialty care, preferably within multi-site and/or multi-state organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel up to approximately 35%, including visits to clinical sites, pharmacy locations, and corporate offices across multiple states.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer, including participation in virtual meetings.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as required to meet organizational needs and respond to urgent operational matters.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
