Business Support Services (BSS)

Business Support Services (BSS) is a shared services unit within the Business and Finance office of the University of South Florida. BSS provides financial transaction support to optimize efficiency and leverage scale, freeing colleges / units to focus on their academic, instructional, research, and business missions. BSS offers services, including accounts receivable, employee reimbursements, purchasing, travel, and USF Foundation transactions.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing high-quality financial and administrative services to the University in accordance with the terms of the BF Embedded Services SLA. The role requires a strong understanding of university processes, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts receivable invoices.
• Assist with new customer onboarding and contract processing.
• Manage employee reimbursements and expenditure transfers.
• Process purchase requisitions and P-card transactions.
• Coordinate travel arrangements and handle expense reports.
• Collaborate with BFSS team members to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with university policies.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify and implement process enhancements.

Additional Information

Hiring for 5 Finance Specialist-1 hybrid positions at $46,000 per year.
