Regional Sales Manager - Mid-Atlantic
The Regional Sales Manager, based in Newark, Philadelphia, or Baltimore, is responsible for chassis equipment sales in the region to various clients primarily focused on Motor Carriers, but may include Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCOs), and / or Non-Vessel Owning Common Carriers (NVOCC's).
The Regional Sales Manager will be primarily focused on new business development with account management expectations within an established customer portfolio. The Sales Manager will work from a home-based office with a close proximity to the major ports in their region. The role will have under 20% overnight travel expectations.
Essential Job Functions :
- Own and execute sales process for assigned accounts
- Achieve growth and utilization within assigned territory by spending the majority of your week in your assigned territory with customers
- Build customer relationships and foster company image
- Identify and close new business opportunities expectation is this person will spend 60% of their time working on new business development and 40% of their time with account management responsibilities
- Drive "Trucker Model" growth by increasing number of motor carrier customers and their utilization of TRAC chassis
- Introduce new products to customers
- Support TRAC's Pool and Term Lease business
- Actively participate in regional industry association events
- Anticipate and resolve potential customer service and internal team issues
- Proactively identify and find solutions to challenges
- Provide information for sales planning and forecasting activities
- Provide local market intelligence

Required Qualifications :
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Account Management and Sales in the Intermodal or Transportation industry requiredBachelor's degree preferredIn-depth knowledge of the local market and competitors to effectively target new customers and enhance sales strategyBroad Supply Chain experience with the ability to interact with executives within the Motor Carrier communitySelf-driven and results-oriented professional with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including effective writing and public speaking skillsMust be able to multi-task and work independently as well as contribute to the overall success of the teamSuperior problem solving and decision making skillsExperience in preparing sales proposalsProven success in a collaborative solution sales environmentAbility to prioritize, meet deadlines and excel in a fast paced and dynamic work environmentFlexibility to quickly adapt to changeAdvanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn proprietary in-house systems and Salesforce (CRM)Work Environment : Remote / Home Office
