Supply Chain Technology Administrator

Responsibilities :
- The Supply Chain Technology Administrator is responsible for ensuring Supply Chain applications are being used to their full potential, IT systems and related processed are operating efficiently, and identifying opportunities for improvement;
- abides by and enforces all compliance requirements and policies and performs these responsibilities in an ethical manner consistent with the organizations values;
- adheres to hospital policies including confidentiality; requires minimal supervision to safely perform essential functions;
- assists with the orientation of new employees; demonstrates proficient skills in the use of computer spreadsheet applications by providing ad-hoc reports in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
- maintains accurate information in Premier to include interface management, approver group management, data profile management, vendor merges, and other various tasks;
- maintains accurate information in GHX to include new vendor setup, new department / ship-to setup, troubleshooting, and general maintenance;
- performs any mass item maintenance job required for updating the item master; manages interfaces for GHX, BlueBin, StrataJazz, HealthTrust, and any other MMIS-linked software;
- assists the Courier Department with Courier Software maintenance; supports the Central Supply iPad fleet; performs advanced software troubleshooting;
- becomes proficient running advanced reports to aid in data requests and new interfaces; works directly with Directors and all hospital managers to improve / enhance the purchasing process through electronic order technology, user education, and hands-on training, while providing tools to assist hospital staff with controlling supply related costs;
- acts as Supply Chain and Information Technology resource for all Supply Chain staff, suppliers, and customers; assists the department with contract compliance by providing reports and data to support Materials Management operations as well as special projects for savings;
- maintains the following systems and any associated interfaces : Premier, BlueBin, GHX, and MCW and other tools as they arise;
- utilizes Tableau to generate reports for KPIs as well as other metrics pertinent to department and employee performance;
- assists in documenting all current processes involved in managing Supply Chains software; communicates and uses appropriate customer relation skills with vendors, healthcare team, and staff, in-person and via telephone;
- responds to emails timely; assists Purchasing Specialists with requisition and purchase orders when staff is unable to do so;
- accepts and completes all duties positively and without conflict; maintains accurate and complete records to include maintenance procedures, interface specifications, and purchase orders;
regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required; related duties as required.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama and three years of professional IT or supply chain experience.
A master's degree is preferred and will substitute for one year of the required experience.
