Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue from corporate, social, and group bookings
  • Manage and coordinate all catering and event services, ensuring client satisfaction and seamless execution
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal departments
  • Conduct site visits and client meetings to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and pricing to clients
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote hotel facilities and event spaces
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed to meet targets
  • Oversee the planning and execution of events, ensuring quality standards are maintained
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, bookings, and client interactions
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitors to identify new business opportunities

Skills and Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in sales, catering, or event management within the hospitality industry
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to negotiate and close deals effectively
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and event planning processes
  • Proficiency in MS Office and hotel management software
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed

    Requirements : Job Requirements :

  • Involved in community and / or government affairs to ensure effective marketing of the hotel
  • Demonstrate commitment to guest service by responding to guest needs
  • Solicit, negotiate, and book both new and repeat business
  • Understand why competitors are successful in each demand segment and directly market / sell against the competition
  • Know key accounts and actively "sells" through sales calls, property tours, strategic marketing, etc.
  • Prepare required reports for the management team
  • Visually inspect function rooms and equipment before functions for cleanliness, proper inventory, and set up
  • Communicate with the kitchen, service, beverage, and engineering staff to ensure timely execution of events and quality service
  • Supervise clean-up of function room and proper breakdown and storage of equipment
  • Maintain vendor and client information where necessary
  • Collaborate with Front Office Team to ensure the details of the group and special corporate directives are executive properly and you are striving to achieve the same goals
  • Job Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in sales, catering, or event management within the hospitality industry

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to negotiate and close deals effectively
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and event planning processes
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Fully knowledgeable of hotel service, amenities, capacities, and operational systems and process in order to accurately respond to customer questions and requests for information
  • Thorough knowledge of the practices and procedures of the catering, food & beverage, and hospitality professions
  • Ability to drive outside sales calls
  • Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
  • Ability to work well in stressful situations
  • Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
