The Quality Control Technician supports field operations by conducting hands-on inspections, testing, and verification of Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and EV charging infrastructure. This role ensures installations meet engineering specifications, code compliance, and manufacturer requirements.

Responsibilities
- Perform field inspections on mechanical, DC, and AC work during various phases of construction.
- Conduct hands-on testing, including torque checks, insulation resistance, continuity, polarity, and grounding verification.
- Verify equipment installation (modules, inverters, switchgear, batteries, EVSE) against design drawings and specifications.
- Document inspection results with photos, detailed notes, and corrective action reports when needed.
- Support QAQC team in punch list creation and closeout activities.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment (e.g., Fluke meters, thermal cameras, torque tools).
- Collaborate with construction crews to address immediate non-conformance items in the field.
- Assist in compiling data for as-built verification and commissioning readiness.
- Uphold site safety standards, ensuring work areas are compliant with OSHA and NEC requirements.
- All other duties as required.
Skills / Other
Knowledge of construction practices in Solar PV, BESS, and EV charging.Familiarity with NEC requirements (Articles 690, 705, 706, 625, etc.).Proficiency with testing tools (multimeters, IR cameras, torque tools).Strong attention to detail and ability to follow checklists and procedures.Basic computer proficiency for data entry, reports, and Microsoft Office tools.Ability to communicate clearly with construction teams, supervisors, and managers.Capable of physical field work : standing, walking, bending, climbing, and working outdoors in all conditions.Pay : $25-$30 / hr
