Position Overview

QinetiQ US is seeking a Radio Frequency / Radar Subject Matter Expert to support technical projects for a government client. The highly motivated candidate will provide leadership and guidance through knowledge, experience, and their ability to provide subject matter expertise in support of emerging Research, Development and Technology projects, specifically providing expertise in Radio Frequency management within Navy Radars . The candidate will help identify critical warfighter needs, initiate new projects, and provide program management and technical expertise in project execution to deliver impactful capability to the warfighter quickly.

The RF Engineer's primary responsibilities are to guide and support multiple programs through development and expansion into additional mission sets. Responsibilities will include providing systems engineering support to program managers, engagements with performers, Program Executive Office (PEO) and Combatant Command (COCOM) partners. Additionally, this will include leading multi-disciplinary, multi-agency integrated product team and providing critical advice to the Government Program Manager when gaps are identified. This position will also lead program engagements with multiple Services to foster program integration and operationalization.

Responsibilities

\n

  • Interact with Service or Defense Agency Program Offices to leverage existing capabilities in new and innovative ways and to provide expertise in relevant technical disciplines.

\n

  • Provide routine systems engineering support to an RDT&E Program Manager including but not limited to providing subject matter expertise in RF and Radar design and development.
  • \n

  • Experience in development, test and evaluation of RF and Radar systems, including ground and flight test
  • \n

  • Experience developing and reviewing test plans including identifying key test objectives, performance metrics, and risks
  • \n

  • Knowledge of DoD kill chains, familiarity and relationships with the stakeholder community, understanding of detailed technical characteristics
  • \n

  • Detailed knowledge and experience with the different types of military communications technologies, how they interface, and what their performance capabilities are
  • \n

  • Experience with rapid prototyping of new or modified military technologies to include program execution, test, and transition management
  • \n

  • Provides critical support in multi-disciplinary, multi-agency integrated product team of professional acquisition personnel across multiple sites nationwide.
  • \n

  • Leads development of acquisition products and materials in support of transition and transition partner Milestone Decision Authority gates.

    Required Qualifications

    \n

  • TS / SCI-Eligible - Currently hold an active TS / SCI or have held an SCI and have been debriefed in the last 24 months; #qinetiqclearedjob
  • \n

  • Bachelors in Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science or Science
  • \n

  • Knowledge of MS Project and in-depth familiarity with developing, reviewing
  • \n

  • Experience working in a TS / SCI / SAP environment
  • \n

  • Minimum of 15 years of program management, operational, and analytical experience
  • \n

  • Proficient in systems engineering and an in-depth knowledge of one or more of the following : (1) Long range fires / Hypersonic Weapons; (2) Long range weapon kill chains;
  • \n

  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, excel and / or other equivalent program management tools.
  • \n

  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, and be independently motivated.
  • \n

  • Travel up to 25% of the time to CONUS and OCONUS locations (Alaska, Hawaii, UK and EUROPE)

  • Acquisition or government program management experience highly desired
  • \n

  • Self-starter mentality combined with proficiency in supporting execution of DoD projects
  • \n

  • Experience developing MS PPT briefing products and white papers
  • \n

  • Good organizational skills with experience coordinating large meetings both in-person and virtual
  • \n

  • Proactiveness with ability to identify and resolve problems or issues in a timely fashion
  • \n

  • Master's degree
  • \n
