Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to join our fast-paced legal team. This role provides the opportunity to work on challenging and complex insurance defense cases, offering the chance to utilize your unique skills and experience.
You will work directly with our attorneys and clients, playing an integral role in our legal processes. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as the opportunity to grow and develop your career in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities :
As an Insurance Defense Paralegal, your responsibilities will include :
1. Assisting attorneys in the preparation and filing of pleadings, motions, and briefs.
2. Managing discovery requests and responses, including document searches and record collection.
3. Handling personal and bodily injury cases, including the preparation of demand packages.
4. Conducting Bates-stamping, creating production logs, and managing e-discovery processes.
5. Preparing for and assisting with depositions, mediations, and trials.
6. Coordinating with witnesses and experts, preparing witness files, and managing exhibits.
7. Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
8. Maintaining case files and managing case calendars.
9. Liaising with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and service providers.
10. Ensuring compliance with state and federal court rules and procedures.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate for this role will have :
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in insurance defense.
2. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program, or equivalent.
3. Strong knowledge of discovery processes, including e-discovery.
4. Experience with personal injury and bodily injury cases.
5. Familiarity with Bates-stamping and production logs.
6. Experience preparing for and assisting with depositions and mediations.
7. Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
8. Familiarity with state and federal court rules and procedures.
9. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms.
12. High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
