Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required.

Must-Have : Previous charge experience.

Patient ratio experience is needed.

Charting system experience is required, specifically with Epic.

Description :

This position is for a nursing role in a Progressive Care Unit.

The role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients.

Daily census is around 12 patients.

The unit includes a mix of ICU and PCU patients.

Providers will support by working with an interdisciplinary team.

Patient diagnoses may include chronic respiratory failure and sepsis.

Required skills include management of dysrhythmias and blood product administration.

The ability to care for patients on ventilators and tracheostomy is also necessary.

Nursing staff will participate in two nurse assessments and bedside reporting every shift.

Due to patient complexity, the nursing ratio is 1 : 5, with a goal of 1 : 4.

Working knowledge of isolation precautions is essential.

Nurses must manage cardiac drips without titration.

All applicants must comply with COVID-19 and flu vaccine requirements.
