EAM Solution Architect

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Provide overall design guidelines for software and hardware integration, performance, reliability, operating, and security designs.
• Capture business capability requirements, functional requirements, and expected service levels from business unit. Create EAM solutions that map to an actionable Business-IT roadmap (a long range plan for the business that identifies specific IT investments in applications and infrastructure to support business objectives).
• Support BU leadership in identifying opportunities for emerging technologies, through collaboration with the EAM architect, to enable business strategies. Provide an advisory role with the clients on the impact of new technologies on their existing technical and information system environments.
• Ensure business and functional requirements are maintained throughout the development / configuration process.
• Maintain strong understanding of technology needs and solutions for the business units.
• Liaison between the client, vendors, project management and the technical team on questions, issues, and revisions to the solution architecture.
• Manage engagement risk and economics including : planning and budgeting; manage accounts receivable; define deliverable content; ensure buy-in of proposed solutions from business owners
• Guide complex fit / gap analysis and design decisions and validate fit / gap analysis and design decisions to ensure deviations from "out of the box" functionality have sufficient business justification and positive value proposition

Education required of the position

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred.
