Overview
The Safe Passages' VISTA Program aligns with the organization's mission to break the cycle of poverty by actively engaging youth and families in creating a comprehensive service network. VISTAs are placed in school-based Family Resource Centers and school-based Expanded Learning Programs throughout Alameda County, as well as on special projects at Safe Passages.

Member Duties
- Safe Passages Program Associate VISTAs are matched with various Safe Passages departments, such as Program Development, Food Security, Public Health, Communications, and Volunteer Management.
- Members will serve as part of a team to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Safe Passages programming through activities such as grant writing, coordinating food distributions and community gardens, volunteer recruitment and outreach, health education workshops, social media management and content creation.
