Job Description :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Human Resources Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll and related tasks.
Reporting directly to the Controller, you will be responsible for various payroll duties including approving and processing employee reimbursements, weekly payroll processing, handling union reports, managing retirement plans, and other related administrative tasks as required.
Responsibilities :
- Approve and process employee reimbursements accurately and efficiently.
- Process weekly payroll every Wednesday, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Prepare and submit union 401k reports weekly on Fridays.
- Generate and manage office 401k reports weekly on Fridays.
- Compile and maintain HSA reports on a weekly basis.
- Prepare and submit union wage reports weekly on Fridays.
- Handle Unum reports on a monthly basis.
- Compile disability quarterly reports as required.
- Manage workers' compensation policy renewal, audits, and handle employee claims effectively.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain relevant records.
- Handle OCA COBRA administration as necessary.
- Assist with pension-related tasks as required.
- Must have a minimum of five years of payroll processing experience.
- Knowledge of Paylocity is a plus.
- Assist accounting and the Controller with other tasks as needed.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in payroll processing.
- Proficiency in payroll software and systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
