Systems Administrator

Summary / Objective

The System Administrator's responsibilities are to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of IT infrastructure by managing servers, networks, and system software. Additional responsibilities include providing technical support, implementing updates, and maintaining backups to ensure seamless operations and data integrity. This is a hands-on technical position.

Primary Functions

• System Installation, Configuration, and Monitoring

Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.), and enterprise applications to ensure high availability.

Monitor and manage local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and cloud infrastructure.

Implement and maintain security protocols to protect systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.

Maintain cloud systems including Microsoft 365 tenant.

Develop and manage backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.

Apply software patches, updates, and firmware upgrades regularly.

Track hardware and software inventory.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and MFPs.

Physical Demands

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. Will be required at times to work outside usual hours of business to support servers, systems, and services without impeding access to these servers and services during unusual business hours. Must be willing to rotate an on-call schedule, including evenings and weekends.
