Role Overview
The Financial Advisor is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function / job family.
Responsibilities
Responsible for providing a wide variety of financial and investment services to an Ultra high Net Worth client base in the United States.
Manage accounts of high net worth investors and jointly develop financial strategies with the Private Bankers.
Conduct sophisticated economic and financial market analyses.
Analyze economic trends / activities and advise the effects on the investors' portfolios.
Recommend changes to the investors' holdings after evaluating the economic, financial and market factors and the potential impact on the investors' portfolios.
Adhere to a specific prospecting code of conduct, which permits acquiring new private client accounts only by referral or personal contact with an individual seeking to do business and prohibits seminars, mail campaigns, cold calling and any other methods of solicitation.
Develop relationships and generate ideas with the Bankers and the clients that will lead to the growth of the asset base.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications
6-10 years of experience.
NYSE Series 7 and 66 licenses and additional licensing as needed.
Proficient in software applications (ex. Microsoft Word, Excel).
Knowledge of Bloomberg a definite asset. Ability to communicate with co-workers and clients.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Strong financial background.
Education
Bachelor's / University degree, Master's degree preferred.

$70,000 – $200,000 per year plus incentive awards.
