Job description

ObGyn Hospitalist physician employment in Nebraska : Locum Tenens OB HospitalistLocation : Omaha, Nebraska (IMLC Accepted)Start Date : ASAP (as credentialing allows)License Required :

  • NE & IA License or IMLC with LOQ REQUIRED
  • Board Certified in OB / GYN REQUIRED
  • OB / GYN Residency REQUIRED
  • BLS & DEA Preferred, not required

Assignment Details

  • Duration : Ongoing
  • Coverage : ~6 24-hour call shifts / month
  • Typical Block : Friday 8 AM Monday 8 AM
  • Call Type : 24 / 7 OB Hospitalist Call Coverage
  • Call Back Hours : Avg. 6 hrs per 24-hour period
  • Deliveries per Shift : 12 per shift, 35 per weekend

    • Facility Coverage

  • Will cover 3 locations :

    • Hospital (Omaha, NE)

  • Medical Center (Omaha, NE)
  • Hospital (Council Bluffs, IA)

    • Clinical Responsibilities

  • L&D, Postpartum, GYN Emergency, OR
  • Consults, deliveries, rounds (with fellows), minor & major GYN surgeries
  • Covers both assigned and unassigned OB / GYN call
  • Back-up for CNMs and Family Med with OB privileges
  • Must be comfortable with both practice coverage and hospital call
  • EMR : Epic

    • Staffing & Support

  • Sole OB / GYN on call during shift (backup available if needed)
  • L&D and OR nurses available
  • Works closely with CNMs; no MAs
  • Midwives may request recommendations or support during labor
  • Covers as call relief for group of :

    • 5 Physicians

  • 4.5 CNMs
  • 4 APPs

  • Orientation Info : Provided after selection
  • Multi-site coverage, so must be comfortable driving between locations if needed
