Corvid's Security team is seeking a Junior Security Specialist to join our internal team supporting a key customer Program Office. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in program security. The Assistant Contractor Program Security Officer will work closely with the CPSO and customer team to maintain the security posture for the program.
This position will require the candidate to bring a general understanding of security requirements for classified programs. The position will provide a variety of security administration tasking and use prior experience to make sound judgements and understand customer requirements. The tasking for this role will be broad - rather than focusing on one aspect of security the role will work the specific program, touching all aspects related to security.
Some critical areas of support will include :
- Develop / prepare and / or modify, as necessary, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Operations Security (OPSEC) Plans, Fixed Facility Checklists (FFC), etc.
- Maintain Document Control and Media Control inventory and database, including review of articles and documents for appropriate classification markings
- Assist in maintaining the program facility in accordance with ICD 705 requirements and 32 CFR 117 requirements
- Conduct routine security indoctrinations, annual refresher briefings, and debriefings of personnel as well as situation specific briefings such as foreign travel, courier policies, SOP training
- Conduct self-inspections and support audits / certification inspections - including the ability to compare procedures and / or regulations with actual operations in order to document findings and recommend corrective action
- Support investigations into security infractions / violations, prepare reports and recommend corrective action to be taken
- Maintain a visitor control program, including visit certifications to and from the facility and conducting entry / exit inspections and IDS testing logs
- Respond to alarms and other emergencies that may require responses afterhours and weekends
Requirements :
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and maintain) a Top Secret clearancePosition requires a Bachelor's Degree and at least two years of directly applicable experienceCandidate must demonstrate an understanding of NISPOM and DoD 5205.07 manualsExperience with Special Program related training with Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) and / or Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) is desiredAbout Corvid :
