Job Summary : The Regulatory Pharmacy Specialist is responsible for the support of the pharmacy 340(b) program for all qualified entities within the organization. Ensures that qualifications for the program are set and maintained, the program is fully implemented in all areas of qualified use, related records are complete and accurate and that the program meets the primary objectives; conducts procurement testing audits to validate procurement processes are compliant and 340b savings is accurately reflected to ensure compliance; conducts IT tracking software and reports testing audits to confirm that the data is being collected can calculating correcting; collaborates with Epic, Willow, Leap and Verity to resolve issues and ensure CDM and NDC information is updated as needed; strive to standardize formularies between areas and covered entities to achieve maximum participation and savings; provide education and support to facility purchasers as it pertains to the 340(b) program; travels to covered entities within the organization to provide help with compliance, education, or support as directed; maintains a working knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations governing pharmacy and especially the 340(b) program. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience : Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field from four-year college or university required. Minimum of one year of pharmacy 340(b) experience preferred. Minimum of three years business and analytics experience preferred. Minimum one year of Pharmacy Technician experience a plus. Minimum one year of Epic / Will experience preferred. Minimum one year of Verity Software experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills : Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate / troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
Licensures and Certifications : Valid Driver's License required at time of hire.
