J ob Summary :
Responsible for providing quality customer support for Taxpayers through phone, email, and correspondence, daily processing of payments, and working DRE projects and new client implementations.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Inbound / outbound telephone customer service
- Handle support emails, refunds, research, resolve, and record problems
- Work in conjunction with other departments for training, data entry, taxpayer support and communications
- Review ordinances / acts / legislation to become familiar with requirements, rates, municipal workflows, and representatives of city / county government
- Prepare and assist in proofing of data and correspondence
- Ability to complete tasks with aggressive deadlines, ability to work on multiple projects at one time and with little supervision
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience :
Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 3 years of related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust have excellent to intermediate proficiencies in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.Salesforce and Constant Contact experience a plusPrevious experience in data analysis or related is preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to speak effectively with customers and employeesAbility to proofread correspondence, detect and correct errors, read, and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to prepare routine correspondence and replies for signature with minimal guidanceAbility to perform advanced math computations using an on-line, desktop calculator, or creating calculations in spreadsheetsAble to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formAble to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to satisfactorily resolve routine situations based on supervisor's guidance or written or verbal instructionsBilingual in Spanish and English is a plusWork Environment :
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual workstation, using telephone and computer
Physical Demands :
