Desktop Support Technician

Overview

We are hiring IT Technicians for a 3-month project to image, deploy and ship IT equipment to customers. The Configuration Technician will perform pre-configuration of equipment prior to shipping, complete quality checks in accordance with documented instructions, and validate equipment prior to shipment. This is an entry level role with opportunities for advancement in the IT industry.

Responsibilities

• Follow specific written work instructions to provision and configure IT devices and prepare for device deployment based on customer requirements.
• Complete basic kitting of equipment based on customer requirements.
• Unbox, re-box and process equipment for shipping.
• Clean, test, and inspect IT devices.
• Escalate technical or other issues to your immediate supervisor.
• Participate in internal departmental and project meetings.
• Offer suggestions on improving processes and efficiencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Consistently follow documented processes to maintain a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
• Complete all assigned work in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

The pay range for this position is $17.50 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
