Position Title : Medical Director
Reports to : Executive Director, Faith Community Health Network with additional oversight from the Faith Community Clinic Board of Directors

Location : Newport, Kentucky
Position Summary
The Medical Director (MD or DO) provides clinical leadership and oversight for the Faith Community Clinic (FCC), ensuring safe, high-quality, and compassionate patient care. This position supports the mission of the Faith Community Health Network to serve neighbors in need with dignity and holistic, community-based healthcare.
The Medical Director combines direct patient care with administrative oversight and supervision of staff, volunteers, and students.
Qualifications
Required :
- MD or DO license to practice in Kentucky in good standing
- Minimum of 3 years experience in primary care or community health required.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, infection control, and quality improvement standards
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to coach, develop, and support clinical staff
- Demonstrated commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

Provide direct patient care (approximately 70% of time) in a primary and urgent care setting.Develop and oversee clinical protocols, lab services and ensure quality of care standards are met.Ensure compliance with all clinical standards, regulatory requirements (OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA), and FCHC policies.Supervise and mentor operations director, volunteer clinicians, including physicians, NPs, PAs, and students.Proctor and oversee medical students (UK College of Medicine NKY) and PA students (Mount St. Joseph University).Review charts, labs, and diagnostics; sign off on care plans as needed.Participate in leadership meetings, staff development, and initiatives that align with the clinics mission and values.Lead quality improvement, peer review, and risk management processes.Serve as primary liaison to CHFS, HRSA, and other regulatory bodies.Collaborate with the Operations Director to ensure efficient, patient-centered operations.Represent the clinic in community, donor, and partner meetings.Physical and Work Requirements
