Event Marketing Manager

Location : Remote, United States. This role requires you to be within a 1 hour commute of a Slalom Office. Only candidates within this range will be considered. As an Event Marketing Manager, you'll take full ownership of impactful, business-driving event programs, leading from strategy to execution, impact measurement and reporting. You'll work with senior business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure events directly support go-to-market priorities and broader business goals. You'll bring expertise in project management, logistics, and event marketing to develop and execute programs that amplify Slalom's brand and deliver measurable business impact.

  • Lead events as integrated marketing programs, partnering early with go-to-market teams to define success metrics, shape content and format, customer journey, and influence audience strategy.
  • Manage the logistics and execution of marketing events, including planning, vendor management, budgeting, staffing, and on-site support.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for event logistics, collaborating with vendors, agencies, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate closely with partner, industry, and field marketing teams to ensure events ladder up to GTM initiatives and support pipeline growth.
  • Translate business objectives into experiential strategies that generate leads, deepen customer relationships, and build Slalom's brand.
  • Track and manage budgets, including forecasting, vendor contracts, and expense reconciliation.
  • Implement event technologies, platforms, and processes to improve efficiency and attendee experience.
  • Develop run-of-show documents, staff assignments, and contingency plans to ensure operational excellence.
  • Analyze event performance, collect stakeholder feedback, and apply learnings to drive continuous improvement.
  • Actively mentor, support, or coach team members and contribute to building best practices across the events function.
  • Occasionally travel to support on-site execution (estimated 10-20% annually).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in event marketing, with direct responsibility for delivering events end-to-end.
  • Proven ability to take full ownership of event programs, including strategy, customer journey, planning, logistics, and post-event analysis, with a focus on driving measurable impact aligned to business and GTM goals.
  • Strong background in logistics, vendor management, budgeting, and on-site event delivery.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and event management software.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Clear, confident communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and resolve issues diplomatically with cross-functional teams and senior GTM leaders.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate risks, create contingency plans, and adapt quickly to change.
  • Demonstrated values-based leadership, with a collaborative approach to mentoring, supporting, and coaching teammates.
