Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team in the Southeastern US. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of MRI, CT, and PET / CT scanners at customer sites. This role requires moderate travel within the region, excellent technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of MRI, CT, and PET / CT scanners at customer sites.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime for critical medical equipment.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and system upgrades to ensure optimal equipment performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Document service activities, including service reports, parts usage, and customer interactions, in accordance with our ISO 13485 : 2016 Certified Quality Management System.
- Train customer staff on basic equipment operation and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, sales, and customer support, to resolve escalated issues.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional communication and timely service delivery.
- Stay current with industry trends, technical advancements, and manufacturer-specific training.
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Strong technical knowledge of diagnostic imaging systems, including hardware, software, and networking components.Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in high-pressure environments.Willingness to travel within the Southeastern US (AL, FL, GA, MS, NC, SC, TN).Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in confined spaces as needed.Manufacturer-specific training (e.g., Siemens, GE) is a plus.Ability to pass background checks and comply with healthcare facility credentialing requirements.Preferred Skills
Experience with multi-vendor imaging equipment.2+ years of experience servicing medical imaging equipment, preferably MRI, CT, and / or PET / CT.Familiarity with DICOM, PACS, and other medical imaging software standards.Certification in relevant imaging modalities or OEM training programs.Benefits
