Geriatric Nursing Assistant- (PRN)

Location : Manchester, MD, 21102

Employment Type : PRN

Pay Rate : $10 - $14 / hr; (Negotiable based on experience)

Shifts Available : 8-hr Shifts

7 : 00 AM 3 : 00 PM
3 : 00 PM 11 : 00 PM
11 : 00 PM 7 : 00 AM

Job Summary :

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to join our care team on a PRN basis. The GNA will provide high-quality care and assistance to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.

Provide mobility support, including transferring residents safely between bed, chair, and wheelchair.

Monitor and record residents' vital signs and report any significant changes to the nurse on duty.

Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.

Support residents' emotional and social needs through compassionate interaction.

Adhere to infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards.

Assist with restorative and rehabilitation care plans as directed by nursing staff.

Participate in ongoing training and team meetings as required.

Required Qualifications :

Valid Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification .

Current CPR / First Aid certification .

Previous experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility is a plus.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.

Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
