Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Washington, DC 20007 (ideal for those seeking DC nursing jobs or healthcare jobs in the DMV area) Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : February 16, 2026 Shift : Day shifts, 4x10-hour days per week (Monday–Friday) Shift Times : Staggered starts : 07 : 00–17 : 30, 07 : 30–18 : 00, 08 : 00–18 : 30, or 08 : 00–20 : 30 Hours per Week : 40 On Call / Weekend Requirement : No on-call, no weekends Unit : PACU / Endoscopy (GI Suite float as needed) Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1860–$1990 PACU RN Qualifications Active DC Registered Nurse license (pending licensure accepted if application is in process and license is obtained prior to start date) Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA preferred) Minimum 2 years of recent experience in inpatient endoscopy, PACU, or pre-op nursing Preferred : Experience in Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, Ambulatory / Outpatient, and prior charge nurse experience At least 1 prior travel nurse assignment preferred (first-time travelers considered with screening) Experience with Cerner electronic charting system required Flu vaccination required (no exemptions) Two supervisor references required PACU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in the PACU and Endoscopy units Perform pre-op assessments, patient education, and post-procedure recovery care Float within the GI Suite as needed, based on competency Monitor and manage airways, pain, and medication administration (including IV vasopressors and emergency medications) Obtain operative / procedural consents and conduct medication reconciliation Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner Participate in required training modules and orientation activities Apply now to join our healthcare team as a PACU Registered Nurse in Washington, DC!
