Job Summary

This is a Plating Operator position in our Plating department which includes Cadmium, Copper, Silver, Passivate, and Black Oxide. The Plating Operators shall have experience with plating / processing in accordance with Military and OEM specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with experienced Department Leads to complete work and prioritize tasks.
  • Follow technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions; legibly sign off on work once completed.
  • General review of paperwork. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
  • Prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning; use proper tooling and fixtures, when applicable.
  • Knowledge of pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
  • Familiar with Quality Assurance requirements & rework procedures.
  • Familiar with engineering drawing notations.
  • Follow safety precautions
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, including safety glasses, goggles or face shields, aprons, boots, gloves, and other PPE based upon requirements in working area.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work both independently, as a team, and with customers (both internally and externally).
  • Excellent accuracy with a strong attention to detail.
  • Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
  • Ability to Read / Write / Communicate in English and calculate basic math formulas.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility.

    • Education / Previous Experience Requirements

  • 1-2 years in manufacturing / Aerospace plating environment a plus.
