School Based Services Director

Job Summary : The School Based Services Director oversees the operations of the School Based Department in the assigned Brightli region.
Key Responsibilities :
- Presents in public forums educational material to promote community understanding of mental health and to enhance community response to mental health problems.
- Participates in staffing of clients to identify problems and establish goals and objectives for treatment and assumes management responsibilities for cases assigned.
- Participates in and contributes to the various staff development activities of Brightli.
- Is sensitive and responsible to management needs, such as data collection, and program evaluation.
- Participates in all required meetings.
- Identify clinical trainings needed for School Based Services staff via needs assessment and implement those trainings to the appropriate School Based Services staff.
- Provide documentation trainings.
- Participate in hiring staff for School Based Services.
- Participate in the quality assurance process, including preparing / presenting QA cases and chart reviews and by monitoring completion of School Based Clinician chart reviews.
- Develop and provide departmental new employee orientation. This would include orientation to the school culture in collaboration with staff.
- Consults with school personnel in order to assist students.
- Consults and works with Brightli staff members to assist schools and students enrolled in services.
- Create and maintain collaborative and working partnerships with schools in both Regions.
- Educate school-based personnel on the benefit and positive effects of School Based Services on the school as a whole and the students enrolled in such services.
- Educate the public on the benefit and positive effects of School Based Services on the community and its members.
- Serves as a liaison among schools in order to provide services to all members of a family.
- Serve as leader for new program development and growth throughout department.
- Functions in accordance with Brightli Operational Guidelines and within his / her professional code of ethics.
- Regularly participates in evaluation of self and assigned staff according to Brightli Operational Guidelines.
- Is sensitive and responsible to management needs, such as data collection, program evaluation, development of grant applications, maintenance of various contracts for services, etc.
- Participates in all required meetings.
- Is responsive to all Quality Assurance procedures of Brightli, cooperates with utilization review procedures, and follows established procedures, rules and regulations of the Clinical Records Department.
Experience and Education Qualifications :
Doctoral degree or Master's degree or licensed professional with post licensure experience in mental health.Must possess a Missouri state license as a Psychologist, LCSW, LPC, PLCSW, or PLPC.Position Perks & Benefits :
