PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics : Adults

Patient Volume / Census : 5090 exams per day (variable based on provider capacity)

Admissions : No

Rounding : Not required

Phone Consults : Yes, as part of clinical workflow

Case Mix : Diagnostic imaging plain films and CTs (mainly ER STATs); optional MRI and Ultrasound reads; no procedures, fluoro, or mammography

Office Equipment Available : GE PACS with Powerscribe dictation

Specialty Backup Available : Multiple radiologists onsite (13 per shift)

Support Staff Available : Technologists, RNs, and administrative staff

Reason for Coverage : Vacation coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required : Yes

Temporary Privileges Available : No (Emergency privileges not available)

Credentialing Timeline : 3060 days

Academic Medical Center Experience : Not required

Telehealth Experience : Not required

Orientation : In-person required (7 : 30a 5 : 00p, typically Friday before start date or within 2 weeks prior)

Diagnostic reads : plain films, CTs

Optional reads : Ultrasound, MRI

No procedures, no fluoroscopy, and no mammography

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses : Active Indiana license or IMLC

Board : BC / BE in Radiology (Certification within 5 years of residency)

DEA : Active DEA Certification required

Certifications : BLS required

Experience : Minimum 2 years in Radiology

Other Qualifications : Must enter hours in Vemsta platform; order entry expected to be completed by locum provider; flu and COVID vaccination required (or valid exemption)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Interpret diagnostic imaging studies, primarily ER STAT cases

Collaborate with other onsite radiologists and hospital staff

Ensure accurate and timely dictation using GE PACS and Powerscribe

Complete all order entries in the EMR (Epic) and Vemsta systems

Attend mandatory in-person orientation prior to start date
