LIS / LTS Manager
As a CBRE Laboratory Instrument Services / Laboratory Technical Services (LIS / LTS) Manager, you will manage a team responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of all scientific instrumentation within a laboratory. This role oversees a team dedicated to managing the full lifecycle of laboratory equipment, encompassing both vendor-managed services and self-performed maintenance activities. From the client's perspective, this role is the central point-of-contact for all instrument-related activities, focusing on operational efficiency, technical proficiency, and regulatory compliance, where applicable.
What you'll do :
- Oversee and manage the LIS program.
- Ensure all programs and procedures of the staff are being properly performed.
- Support the development and administration of the department budget.
- Review all expenditures for tools, equipment, supplies, materials, and additional contract requirements and submit for approval.
- Review and update LIS and LTS equipment, maintenance, and calibration procedures.
- Track, evaluate, and report performance on quality, safety, cost, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage contractor specifications, problems, performance, and administration.
- Conduct financial analysis including the preparation of reports.
- Order and track inventory of spare parts and consumables.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques / procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies.
- Explain difficult or sensitive information.
- Encourage the team to identify and implement process improvements related to instrument maintenance, vendor relations, and troubleshooting.
- Provide formal supervision to employees.
- Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
What you'll need :
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred. Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.Strong leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple departments' results within a function.In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive approach.Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.Why CBRE?
