PMI is seeking a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapy professional to join our team as an OTA Instructor. In this role, you'll use your clinical expertise to educate and inspire students, preparing them for successful careers as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).
Key Responsibilities
As an OTA Instructor, you will :
- Teach and Demonstrate : Develop and deliver daily lesson plans, lectures, and lab demonstrations aligned with program goals.
- Support Student Success : Monitor performance and attendance, and implement strategies to help students succeed.
- Advise and Mentor : Guide students through the OTA curriculum and support their academic and professional growth.
- Evaluate Progress : Maintain accurate records, grade assignments, and assess clinical and academic performance.
- Contribute to the Program : Assist with externships, recruitment events, committee work, and strategic planning.
Qualifications
We're looking for a candidate who meets the following criteria :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institutionGraduation from an accredited OT or OTA programCurrent license or credential to practice as an OT or OTA in the stateMinimum of three years of professional experience in occupational therapyDocumented expertise in the subject area and commitment to student successStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointBenefits and Compensation
