Job description

Provide age appropriate coaching and supervision to patients and families hospitalized on the Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Unit (PBMU). The PMHS's work is directed by Nursing Leaders or designee. Incumbents are required to work with complex and acute psychiatric patients and be comfortable in dealing with stressful and quickly changing environments. This includes initiating appropriate interventions that promote a healthy and safe environment for patients, families and staff.

We are looking for Pediatric Mental Health Specialists to work in our Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Unit (PBMU)!

The Pediatric Mental Health Specialist position provides the opportunity to grow your career in the mental and behavioral health field by learning de-escalation skills and techniques, gaining an understanding of behaviors, building rapport, and problem solving. The skills groups promote new and healthy problem solving skills as well as social and coping skills that are developmentally appropriate for each age group.
