About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience :

Minimum of 2 years with at least 1 year of direct Med / Surg experience.

Traveler experience must include at least 2 successful contracts.

License :

Valid nursing license.

Certifications :

Basic Life Support (BCLS) required.

National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred but not required.

Must-Have :

Experience in IV start and telemetry.

Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.

Med / Surg neuro experience is essential.

Description :

RTO after booking is not permitted.

RTO requests during the holiday season are not allowed.

Any call-offs or additional RTO may lead to cancellations.

The unit will not accept first-time travelers.

Travelers are required to work every other weekend.

Float requirement includes other Med / Surg / Telemetry areas, including possible COVID care units.

Frequent floating may be expected.

Patient diagnoses primarily involve stroke patients, neurosurgery patients, and other neuro conditions.

The unit has a designated Epilepsy Monitoring Unit with specialized training for nurses.

The daily census averages around 42 patients.

The unit is equipped with various interdisciplinary support teams.

Candidates must be comfortable floating based on unit needs without restrictions.

Travelers are expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

No RTO is allowed during the first week due to orientation.

Candidates must be proficient in the specific charting system utilized in the unit.
