Plumbing Mechanic

The Plumbing Mechanic will direct the installation of plumbing and related systems, equipment, and fixtures. This role involves planning, laying out, participating in, and supervising plumbing work on job sites and in the shop. While working with considerable independence, technical supervision is provided for large construction and modification projects. Assignments for maintenance and repair are received through Teams Construction software, written job requests, or emergency calls. Work is primarily reviewed by the users of equipment and systems through observation and conferences during projects and upon completion. Construction and remodeling work is reviewed for compliance with specifications and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Direct the installation of plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures.
• Plan, lay out, and supervise plumbing work both on job sites and in the shop.
• Analyze defects in plumbing equipment to determine necessary repairs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, and lay out work from prints, plans, sketches, drawings, and broken parts.
• Work with water and temporary water lines.
• Lay out and mark areas for plumbing installation.
• Manage helpers to efficiently run storm or sanitary systems.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
