As a Project Manager you will focus on the successful management and execution of projects, focusing on Scope, Cost, Materials, Schedule, Safety and Quality of execution of Technical Field Service and Engineering projects. Projects typically cover Electrical Maintenance, Engineering Design and Electrical Upgrades of generation and electrical infrastructure / equipment. Reporting to the West Coast Regional Manager, the successful candidate will be accountable to work independently - coordinating and leading project teams; ultimately creating superior client experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following areas :
Service Scope
- Managing Scope, Cost, Materials and Schedule of preventative maintenance projects and programs for public and private facilities
- Engineering Projects for System Design and / or Upgrade projects
- Participating in final bid reviews and project execution schedules / methodologies
- Scheduling and preparing work orders
Client Development
Foster Client relationships through daily interaction and scope developmentIdentify additional opportunities for the Client and communicate them to the Sales TeamAssist Sales team with preparing project estimatesFacilitate clarifications - when requiredJob Execution
Continuous interaction with the ClientEffectively manage project coordinator, work with the technical leads designated to the respective project(s)Coordinate work orders with Client Operations and Maintenance crewsCoordinate work for larger crews during maintenance turnaroundsWork with the Client's planners to optimize and improve work orders where possibleProvide project status updates to Management and SalesMaintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding milestone achievements (or deviations) pertaining to, scope, cost, schedule, opportunities, safety and quality etc.Escalate awareness of issues and concerns on projects within a timely manner to the Regional and Sales Manager(s)Develop project / site strategy and execution scheduleEnsure leadership in safety excellence is demonstrated onsiteResponsible for site quality documentation and document reviewsResponsible for the safety of yourself and crew members working under your supervisionEnsure scheduled work is completed in accordance with the agreed Scope, Cost and Schedule per Client work ordersEnsure documentation is completed, compiled and filed in accordance with client procedures' - including management reports and daily / weekly / monthly reports as per client requirementsMaintain, mitigate and manage project risks and associated documentationReporting
Ensure completion and submission of all documentsEnsure Client drawings are accurate and up to date for applicable scopesComplete technical reviewsManage Change Log, Change Orders, RFI's and project reportingSupport invoicing by ensuring Labor, Equipment and Material usage is tracked and approvedJob Follow-up
Ensure work orders are completed as required. Where this is not possible, communication with the Client and prepared associated Change OrdersProvide feedback to the Regional Manager on project execution and employee performance onsiteLeadership
