Senior Manager, Production
Standard working hours will be Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM. This position is 100% on-site in Winchester, Kentucky. Catalent's Winchester location is the flagship US manufacturing location for large scale oral dose forms, with integrated analytical and development services. The Senior Manager Production manages department success by ensuring the right quality and cost using correct cGMP standards. The Senior Manager Production meets delivery schedules, product quality safety and compliance requirements, and budget expenditures.
The Role
- Assuring compliance within the Manufacturing department with all CGMP and safety regulations
- Management of governmental agencies and customer representatives as required to facilitate audits, prepare and complete corrective action plans and of-site visits.
- Utilize and promote Operational Excellence, Six Sigma & Lean methodologies to all workflows with ability to run Kaizen Events
- Provide oversight and technical expertise during the development of new strategic manufacturing platforms and products.
- Overseeing all activities performed by Supervisors and material expeditors during shift. Offering processing guidance where needed
- Participating in the management of the P&L impact of the operations' group, which can include, but is not limited to, cost center spends, headcount, budgeting, and absorption

The Candidate
Bachelor's degree in engineering or scientific discipline and 3+ years prior supervisory or relevant management experience required.Candidates must be capable of creating and working within an operating plan framework and budget.Must have a thorough knowledge of the equipment and processes used in the facility and within the pharmaceutical industry. Must have a thorough knowledge of cGMP, FDA and DEA guidelines and how to apply them effectively.Candidates should have a thorough knowledge of Solid Dosage manufacturing.Diplomacy, negotiation skills, written and oral communication, team building skills, independent work skills, strong work ethic, coaching, delegating skillsDemonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience.Individual may be required to stand for an extended period of time.
