JOB TITLE Server
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
This position receives supervision from the Dietary Director.
FUNCTIONS
1. Responsible for taking orders.
2. Responsible for serving meals.
3. Responsible for pouring and serving beverages.
4. Responsible for washing that shifts dishes, pots, and pans.
5. Must be able to work unsupervised.
6. Must be able to bus tables for breakfast only.
7. Keep the severing counter clean.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS NEEDED TO PERFROM THIS JOB
Physical stamina required for bending, lifting, walking and standing for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Indoor work in well-lighted and ventilated surroundings. Stands and walks with intermittent sitting during the working shift. Possibility of sprains and strains due to lifting heavy food and equipment, minor cuts and burns from machines and chemicals, and may be walking on wet slippery surface, so must be knowledge of and follow all safety procedures to prevent injury to self and others. Must be aware of and follow infection control procedures and universal precautions.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION
Serve / Clean or Level ǁ food handler permit.
EDUCATION / TRAINING AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Must be 15 years of age.
UNIFORM REQUIREMENT
Uniform must comply with The Waterford’s uniform and dress code polices.
Must follow all requirements as noted in the employee manual and duties as assigned by the Dietary director
