We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.

This role involves preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting, hold a CPA certification, and possess an unwavering commitment to accuracy in all accounting tasks.

Job Details

Responsibilities :

1. Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.

2. Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.

3. Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.

4. Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.

5. Provide technical support and advice on management.

6. Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.

7. Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process.

8. Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.

9. Assist with tax audits and tax returns.

10. Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.

11. Support month-end and year-end close process.

12. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications :

1. Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, chief or senior accountant.

2. Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.

3. Awareness of business trends.

4. Familiarity with financial accounting statements.

5. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end / year-end close process.

6. Hands-on experience with accounting software packages.

7. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.

8. Accuracy and attention to detail.

9. Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.

10. BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.

11. Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 3+ years of experience.

12. Experience in public accounting and preparing tax returns is essential.

13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

14. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
