Controls Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician to install, commission, and maintain conveyor equipment and systems, encompassing both mechanical and electrical components. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards, while troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to installation and maintenance. This role requires effective communication with project managers and internal teams and collaboration with departments such as engineering, sales, and customer service to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission conveyor equipment and systems, including mechanical and electrical components.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the installation and maintenance of conveyor systems.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to the project manager and internal teams.
• Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, sales, and customer service to ensure project success.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Work Environment

This role involves working in dynamic environments, including Amazon facilities, where safety is paramount. The technician will be exposed to moving mechanical parts and must adhere to EH&S requirements. The work demands physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting items weighing at least 50 lbs, as well as operating forklifts and scissor lifts while practicing OSHA standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00 / hr.
