We're looking for a People Partner Manager to join Shippo's People Team and directly support our R&D teams and some G&A teams. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role focused on enabling leaders to get the most out of their teams. You'll be embedded with our engineering, product, and G&A leaderscoaching, challenging, and advising them to lead stronger, scale smarter, and move faster.

This role is not about checking boxes or carrying water for weak managers. It's about building trusted relationships with Directors and VPs, raising the bar for leadership across the company, and helping great teams become exceptional.

We're looking for someone with a bias for action, a sharp point of view, and a track record of driving real performance gainsnot just partnering in name, but rolling up their sleeves to make things better.

Shipping & Handling Responsibilities

• Partner deeply with leaders across Engineering, Product, and G&Aunderstanding team dynamics, identifying friction points, and actively coaching managers to lead more effectively.
• Drive performance enablement by embedding yourself in key people programs (e.g. feedback, calibration, promotion readiness, manager development) and making them work better for R&D teams.
• Accelerate team effectiveness by helping leaders spot and fix issues earlywhether it's org design, execution misalignment, or manager underperformance.
• Be operationally excellenttrack actions, follow through, and make people processes feel lightweight but effective.
• Influence strategicallybring a grounded POV to leadership conversations backed by data, team insight, and experience.
• Champion accountabilityyou don't absorb others' work, you push for clarity, ownership, and progress.

What is in the Shippo package?

$136,170 - $184,230 a year

We believe compensation is a custom experience and are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The standard base pay range for this role is min is $136k to a max $184k annual salary. We tend to anchor our pay in the middle of this range ($160k). Since we are focused on hiring Shippos Everywhere, we have 2 US pay ranges, a standard compensation range for the majority of the US and a standard +1 compensation range for those who live in areas where the cost of labor is higher, such as NYC and California.

The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as : financial budgets, work experience, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market value. The base pay salary ranges are subject to change and may be modified in the future. Total compensation for this role will include, equity, medical, dental, vision and other benefits noted in our Shippos "package" section.

Our people, much like the packages we help ship, are all over the world. This means, through our remote-first program, "Shippos Everywhere", our roles can be based anywhere in the US with the exception of Delaware, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Hawaii, New Mexico and West Virginia and many roles can be based internationally.
