(medical billing and collections)

Part Time

We are looking for a Patient Account Representative to handle medical billing and collections.

This is a part time position, primary responsibilities include: Submission & follow up on claims to insurance companies, handle denials and appeals, handling incoming calls, data entry and processing payments.

Representatives must be able to adapt to the constant changes within the healthcare environment.

Our ideal applicant has a minimum of 1 year experience in accounts receivable, preferably in Behavioral Health.

Arrowhead Behavioral Health is a -bed psychiatric hospital located in Maumee, Ohio. We serve adult patients years of age and older that need mental health and chemical dependency services. Inpatient offerings include treatment for drug and alcohol withdrawal management and stabilization as well as mental health crisis management. Our outpatient services extend the continuum of care to include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs which allow patients to develop and utilize proper coping mechanisms to help establish a foundation for life. Additionally, we offer a Relapse Prevention Program along with a Medication Administration Program to support patients in maintaining lifelong sobriety.

Qualifications

Education/Experience : One-year certificate from college or technical school; or minimum 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills : Demonstrated communication, time management and computer skills.

Physical Requirements : Must have good visual acuity. Ability to lift up to lbs and ability to push/pull a minimum of pounds. Demonstrate ability to tolerate frequent position changes such as twisting, stooping, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, and bending positions for complete shift. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for momentary to extended periods.

Other : Position requires the ability to work productively and independently. Must follow the security and confidentiality guidelines of Arrowhead Behavioral Health. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the BOD, CFO and/or his/her designee.
