Job Description
The Controls Group Material Handler is responsible for the material flow to and from the Controls Assembly group for all jobs and shop supplies. Reports to the Shop Foreman.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Handle all material flow, pull tickets, etc.
- Fill spare time in various departments when needed, working with simple assemblies and wiring (training will be provided)
- Verify correct Part Numbers (P / N) vs packing slips, pull tickets, and check parts into the bills of material
- Order all shop supplies, including fittings, electrical supplies, raw stock, paint, etc.
- Hand out all Job materials to the shop personnel. Re-verifying the correct P / N and quantity
- Handle all material discrepancies (Non-conformances)
- Dispose of all material left over from jobs, via in-slip to inventory, return for credit, etc.
- Make pick-ups and deliveries as needed.
- Assist the warehouse with problem-solving and picking as needed
- Respond to warehouse emails as needed
- Make tags for jobs on the engraving machine and the Phoenix printer
- Keep a clean and organized work area
- Expedite orders as required
- Other duties as assigned
