The Accounting team ensures financial integrity across all Lifepoint entities by maintaining accurate records, supporting internal controls, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. We collaborate closely with facility finance teams and other HSC departments to promote efficiency, consistency, and transparency across all financial operations.
How you'll contribute
A Senior Accountant, Project, Fixed Assets, and Lease Accounting who excels in this role :
Manages the monthly processes for Oracle Projects, Fixed Assets, and Leases, including project creation, reporting, and journal entry preparation.
Supports project initiation, accounting, and analysis needs for all lines of business that receive liaison services.
Leads month-end close procedures related to project, fixed asset, and lease accounting across all sites and divisions.
Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement to increase efficiency, promote standardization, and reduce cost.
Maintains fixed asset roll forwards, additions, disposals, and capital budgeting projections.
Manages accounting for financing and operating leases, performs lease determinations, and maintains capitalization and amortization schedules.
Collaborates with facility finance teams and Site Liaisons to review new leases and ensure accurate lease classification.
Supports project initiation, capital versus operating determinations, and documentation of project transfers.
Maintains internal controls and ensures balance sheet accounts are properly supported and reconciled.
Performs general ledger, subledger, and journal entry analysis using Oracle reporting tools (OTBI, FDI, EPM).
Provides P&L and balance sheet analysis around projects, fixed assets, and leases, with detailed supporting commentary.
Assists leadership with annual project budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Interfaces with LBS Site Liaisons, Financial Operations, and Technical Accounting teams to support inquiries and reporting needs.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance and performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and 4+ years of experience in project and fixed assets accounting. Additional qualifications include :
Experience with Oracle systems and reporting tools (OTBI, FDI, EPM).
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control principles.
Ability to perform financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting for projects, fixed assets, and leases.
Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel skills.
Certification : Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred; active license a plus.
Travel Requirement : Minimal; role is primarily office-based.
