Security Professional - Access Control - Part Time

As a Security Professional - Access Control - Part Time in Fountain Inn, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong presence. Your responsibilities include managing access points, assisting with badge and alarm panel procedures, and providing outstanding customer service to all personnel and visitors. You will use technology such as computers or tablets to support your daily tasks. What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles as required by site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with access-related inquiries and directions.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific protocols to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe for irregularities and report any concerns.
  • Document and report all access control activities, incidents, and observations according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, following established protocols for the manufacturing and industrial environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
