Stansell is seeking a talented Project Manager in the Michigan region to join our team!
POSITION IS REMOTE. CANDIDATE MUST RESIDE IN MICHIGAN AND BE ABLE TO TRAVEL TO JOBSITES REGULARLY AND OUR OFFICES FOR OCCASIONAL TEAM EVENTS.
Stansell is a rapidly growing, WBE certified, general contractor specializing in commercial construction services across the Southeast United States. We focus on serving clients in the commercial market with emphasis on the following project types : restaurant dining and quick service food. The ideal candidate for this role is a career-minded individual with a customer service focus, has high energy, and is detail oriented. This candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead an environment of Respect, Commitment, Teamwork, Integrity, Reliability, and Professionalism.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
- Organize and oversee construction procedures and schedules for site / project specifics and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
- Create bids by seeking proposals across all trades and subsequent estimates to submit.
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
- Coordinate with on-site Superintendent to plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
- Secure subcontractors for specific trade needs.
- Evaluate progress and apply necessary changes to achieve planned goals.
- Lead overall project closeout process.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.

Requirements and Skills
Minimum 3 years commercial retail construction project management, preferably with quick service restaurants.In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principlesFamiliarity with construction / project management software, Sage 100 and ProcoreOutstanding communication and negotiation skillsExcellence with organizational and time-management skills is a mustA team player with leadership abilitiesBS / BA in engineering, building science, or construction will be an advantageStrong PC skills with a working knowledge of including but not limited to MS Excel, MS Word, MS Office, and Outlook.Must have strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety planWhat We Offer :
