Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Echocardiographer with at least 2 years of experience in transthoracic and dobutamine stress echocardiography for a 13-week travel assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital-based Echo Lab within a Level 1 Trauma setting
  • Performs non-invasive diagnostic tests for cardiovascular diseases supporting quality patient care
  • Handles average patient ratio of 8 per shift
  • Uses phono-apexcardiograms, imaging duplex, and ultrasound equipment
  • Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts (8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM), 40 hours per week
  • Potential variability in shift structure (5x8s or 4x10s) with no set day off
  • Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
  • Local candidates are not accepted for this department
  • Responsible for preliminary echocardiographic measurements, summarizing diagnostic data, and communicating findings to management or requesting physicians
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of all patient personal and health information
  • Bilingual or multi-lingual skills appropriate to the patient population are a plus
  • Monthly parking fees apply for hospital parking
  • Weekend and holiday work may be required based on department needs

    • Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Echo experience with transthoracic and dobutamine stress echocardiography
  • Active RDMS and BLS certifications required
  • Active Massachusetts state license required if applicable
  • Minimum 18 months of specialty experience required
  • Level 1 Trauma hospital experience required
  • Knowledge of cardiology, medical terminology, basic physics, biology, and anatomy
  • Two professional references required, at least one from a manager level within specified timeframes
