Job Summary : This role provides leadership and direction to the Facilities department.
Required Qualifications :
- College courses in Maintenance related discipline; Millwright or Electrical certificate of qualification is preferred
- Strong communicator in the English Language, both written and oral
- Minimum 8 - 10 years experience in Maintenance position in industry;
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- High level of time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong technical and problem solving skills
- Familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations

Oversee maintenance related functions :PM program / schedule according to facility needsEnsure all equipments and tools are maintained properly to avoid interruption of production and to minimize unnecessary downtimeAnalyze facility repairs to identify and correct mechanical problemsEnsure availability of replacement parts for key manufacturing equipment to minimize unnecessary machine downtimeMaintain maintenance related recordsTo co-ordinate with outside contractors on equipment repairs and to source the most effective repairs and upgrades costProvide input and ensure completion of CI projectsEnsure proper planning and control for all areas of responsibility in facilities department (e.g. labour, overtime, equipment, travel, etc).Achieve goals and objectives that are set out each year by the General ManagerContribute to ongoing improvements to throughput, inventory and operational expense.Abide by all company polices including, but not limited to the following; Health and safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human resources policies, and Martinrea Employee Handbook
