Dr. Peter Joseph has been practicing periodontics in Baltimore for over 20 years. Dr. Joseph's private practice focuses on comprehensive treatment planning and assistance in your Dentist's plan to carry out periodontal and surgical support for prosthetic cases ranging from single tooth restorations to full mouth reconstructions. Additionally, Dr. Joseph specializes in cosmetic procedures to aid in aesthetic treatment in conjunction with your general dentist. Dr. Joseph is proud to have been voted by his peers as a Top Periodontist in Baltimore year after year.
Full Time Periodontal Surgical Dental Assistant Schedule
Monday through Thursday 7 : 30am - 4 : 00pm with 30 minutes lunch breaks

Assist the Periodontist with surgical and non-surgical proceduresWelcomes patientsPrepares patients for treatments or checkups ensuring comfortSelection and setup of instrumentation, equipment and other dental materials as neededPrepare and sterilize instruments and operatoriesSupport infection control and safety protocolsMaintains accurate patient recordsLab tasks as instructedProvide post-operative care instructionsMaintain clean and stocked operatoriesQualifications
Active Maryland Radiology Certification for X-Rays, EFDA Certification, CPR Certification, and Periodontal Surgical experience prefered but not required2 or more years of dental assisting clinical experienceReliable and efficient while taking pride with completion of tasksKnowledge of dental treatments to answer patient questions in a skilled manner while helping patients feel comfortableStrong communication and organizational skills with ability to communicate with Doctor, staff and patients in a professional and friendly wayPositive, team-oriented attitude as we have a great culture and a family feelKnowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methodsBillingual preferredUnderstanding of health & safety regulationsExperience with digital softwareExcellent interpersonal skillsKnowlege of scanning, basic assisting duties, intra-oral camera and good communicatorReliable, detail oriented, ability to work with a team, dedicated, critical thinker and must have a high level of integrityEqual Employment Opportunity
