What You’ll Do
- Provide direct patient care in clinic, hospital, and community-based settings
- Serve as a specialist and consultant for referred patients
- Participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation for patient phone support
- Rotate inpatient hospital coverage (with hospitalist support when available)
- Maintain a schedule including :
1 evening shift (until 8 PM) per week
1 Saturday shift (9 AM – 1 PM) every 3–4 weeks1 overnight call for Trinity HospitalEnsure compliance with medical standards, confidentiality laws, and regulatory requirementsQualifications :
M.D. Degree, or D.O. degree from accredited school of allopathic or osteopathic medicine requiredBoard-certified or Board-eligible in OB / GYNCurrent and valid Illinois license as a physician and surgeonCurrent and valid DEA and IL Controlled SubstanceEligible for, or maintenance of, hospital privileges at affiliated hospitalsIf you are a compassionate, mission-oriented physician, this is a place where your skills and passion will be valued. Education and Experience
M.D. Degree, or D.O. degree from accredited school of allopathic or osteopathic medicine requiredBoard-certified or Board-eligible in OB / GYNCurrent and valid Illinois license as a physician and surgeonCurrent and valid DEA and IL Controlled SubstanceEligible for, or maintenance of, hospital privileges at affiliated hospitalsBilingual ability may or may not be required based on individual department needs.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.Ability to maintain effective and professional relationships with patients and other members of the care team.Comfort working in a medical setting as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progressKnowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical careKnowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usageKnowledge of related accreditation and certification requirementsKnowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertiseExperience in working with a diverse population base preferred.Ability to appropriately handle confrontation and conflict.Ability to work independently and to seek consultation as necessary.Ability to follow organization and departmental processes and procedures.Ability to work in a high stress / fast paced / high work volume environment.
