The National Airspace Systems Integration Support (NISC) program at Leidos is seeking a Drafting Engineer to provide support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Central Service Area - Engineering Services Group located in the FAA’s Southwest Regional Office in Fort Worth, Texas.

The ideal candidate will support the daily operations of the FAA Enterprise Network Services (FENS) Program. FENS is the successor to the FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI) contract, which was implemented in 2002 to provide over 30,000 communications services to more than 4,500 facilities within the National Airspace System. The program aims to design, build, operate, and maintain the FAA's next-generation communications platform and to build a dynamic, highly available and secure enterprise network to support all the agency's mission-critical applications across the NAS.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Provide technical support to the Engineering Center, for accomplishment of project engineering packages by developing site-specific project plans and specifications for solicitation and contracting of engineering projects for FAA approval and acceptance.
• Perform site surveys to collect site-specific project data and research all (state, local, federal, FAA, etc.) standards, construction codes and ordinances.
• Provide analysis, recommendations, and solutions to issues identified during the site survey.
• Prepare summary trip reports within two working days of trip completion. Reports will include compiled and completed project documents as follows :

Scope of work and project transmittal.

Pay Range : Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
