General Job Responsibilities :
Diagnose and treat patients with autoimmune diseases, musculoskeletal disorders and other rheumatologic conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout and osteoporosis.Perform joint injections, aspirations and other minor procedures as necessary.Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments and manage complications related to chronic conditions.Provide patient education about conditions, treatment options and post-care management strategies.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.Skills :

Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.Residency training program in internal medicine or a related field accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).Fellowship training in rheumatology.License & Certifications :
Board certification in rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM).Active and unrestricted medical license in California.Experience :
