Sr. Director, Enterprise Data Leader
The Sr. Director, Enterprise Data Leader will be responsible for evolving and leading the company's enterprise data strategy and operations. This role ensures that data is treated as a strategic asset across the organization, enabling transformation, analytics, and AI adoption at scale. The leader will oversee data platforms, governance, quality, and services that empower business units to make data-driven decisions, drive operational efficiency, and accelerate innovation.
This position will report directly to the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) and will play a critical role in shaping the company's digital and data-driven transformation agenda.
Responsibilities :
- Define and execute the enterprise data strategy aligned with corporate goals and digital transformation priorities.
- Champion the shift towards data-driven decision-making and self-service analytics across all functions.
- Partner with executive leadership to identify high-value opportunities where enterprise data can create business impact.
- Build and scale enterprise data services (Customer 360, MDM, metrics, features, APIs) on Snowflake, enabling composable, reusable building blocks that power analytics, AI, and digital products.
- Evolve the enterprise data platform into a composable architecture, delivering governed, contract-first data products (e.g. Schema, semantics, access rules etc.) and services that can be easily discovered, integrated, and reused across business domains.
- Define reference architectures for data ingestion, integration, cataloging, and consumption.
- Lead the evolution of modern data capabilities such as APIs, streaming, observability, orchestration, and metadata services.
- Partner with MDM to establish data governance policies, standards, and stewardship frameworks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
- Implement processes for data quality monitoring, remediation, and accountability across business and IT.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, SOX, etc.) and company data ethics standards.
- Deliver enterprise data services (catalogs, APIs, pipelines, self-service analytics, AI / ML enablement) for business and functional teams.
- Provide frameworks, tooling, and training to democratize data usage across the enterprise.
- Partner with data scientists, engineers, and business analysts to accelerate adoption of AI and advanced analytics.
- Build and lead a high-performing enterprise data organization (engineering, governance, architecture, operations).
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with IT leadership and functional leaders to align enterprise data strategy with broader IT and business roadmaps.
Requirements :
12+ years of experience in data, analytics, or IT leadership roles, with 5+ years in enterprise-scale data management.Proven success in building and operating enterprise data platforms (cloud, hybrid, or on-prem).Strong knowledge of modern data architectures : Data Mesh, Data Fabric, MDM, metadata management, API-driven data services.Hands-on familiarity with leading platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Informatica, Collibra, etc.).Experience establishing and scaling data governance frameworks in a complex global environment.Track record of enabling business transformation through data and analytics.Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills; ability to engage C-suite stakeholders.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master's preferred.Key Success Metrics :
